As Global Environment Manager at Markem-Imaje, Sebastien Marcel is responsible for implementing the Environmental & Safety policy within the group. The environment is core to what Markem-Imaje does and he leads the environment reduction program across the organization for energy, waste, water and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Sebastien is also in charge of defining, establishing, and deploying environment & safety standards within Markem-Imaje entities.

- As we manufacture product identification and traceability solutions on a global level, I need to monitor changes to environment and safety regulations applicable to our products throughout the world.
- Having daily ‘fresh’ alerts on legislation changes that are applicable to Markem-Imaje’s products and operations is vital.
- For example, recently I received an alert on nanoparticles in Europe. By simply clicking on the alert link, I was taken into the compliance knowledge management platform, C2P. There I got a summary of the French ministerial order relating to annual declarations of nanoparticle substances.
