Prepare to Repair: Right-to-Repair Rules in the US and the EU
Webinar Overview
In 2024, we finally saw the adoption of new repair rules in the European Union, ensuring affordable repairs for selected products. This webinar will clarify manufacturers’ obligations to repair beyond the legal guarantee period, fairer access to spare parts for independent repairers, as well as the information to be provided to consumers. We will also provide an overview of the US state Right to Repair legislation, including enacted and proposed bills.
As part of the European Green Deal, the European Council published Directive (EU) 2024/825, which bans greenwashing, to prevent unfair commercial practices which can mislead consumers with regard to the environmental, social and sustainability/circularity aspects of the product. Our regulatory experts will explore what unfair commercial practices are now banned, the use of a harmonized notice and a harmonized label, as well as the implementation deadlines.
This interactive webinar also touches upon some key regulatory developments in the rest of the world, so you can manage obligations impacting your business and stay ahead in today’s regulatory landscape.
